Main problems: no air conditioned in rooms, no mosquito nets in 2nd floor rooms. Smell in bathroom (old pipes). Positives: wonderful building, good buffet, good breakfast.

The hotel is very well restored revealing all the charm of the old convent. Relaxing ambient and quality of the rooms. Very good restaurant, not only the fact it is located in the ancient convent's chapel, but also the quality and variety of the food. Excelent location for a relaxing stay and visiting the region.
The swimming pool area could be improved. It's lacking the whole hotel's charm.

The place itself is charming, breakfast is excellent, unfortunately didn't have the time to have a meal but just to visit the restaurant (the old chappel in the convent) is an experience on itself

Excellent hotel, beautifully restored convent, comfortable. The staff always attentive and helpful,. Restaurant in the former chapel not to miss, with nice food for a good price / quality ratio. Some of the staff speak some English.
The pool area should be better cared for and could also be greatly improved both the site and its equipment. Only a couple of amaged sun shades etc. TV's are still of the old types. Bathroom could use a restoration too.

We were travelling from Coimbra to the Douro valley and decided to stop in this hotel. It was an excellent choise. The hotel is an old convent turned into a high quality hotel. I'd stay there longer. The rooms have good heating/coolings system so it would not pleasant both in the middle of winter and summer. The hotel offers really good breakfast, lunch and dinner. They also provide a nice list of wines. We think this was the best hotel during our 11 trip in Portugal.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The staff was incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to assist us with all of our needs. They gave us great recommendations for restaurants and attractions, and even helped us with our laundry and ironing. The rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated in a traditional style. The bathroom was large and well-maintained. The hotel itself was in excellent condition and the atmosphere was truly special. The breakfast was delicious and there was even a buffet dinner available on the weekends. this place was fantastic and we highly recommend it to others.
Although the hotel is a bit isolated, that actually added to its charm. It was very peaceful and quiet, and the swimming pool was absolutely stunning, even though it was a short walk away from the main hotel.

I had a wonderful time at this hotel. The location was peaceful and rural, perfect for a quiet getaway. The former chapel setting added to the unique atmosphere of the hotel. The staff was helpful and kind, attending to my every need. The cleanliness of the hotel facilities was impressive, and the breakfast was delicious.
Cannot find any fault.

Located in a charming rural area, this hotel offers a unique experience in an atmospheric restaurant that used to be the old chapel. the rooms and bathrooms are clean and well decorated with traditional style. the staff is friendly and professional, providing a great service during breakfast. the pool is a nice addition to beat the heat during summertime.
One negative aspect is that some staff members were reported to be unhelpful and scarce in certain situations, making it hard to get a drink or coffee in the bar area.
